Weldon Solutions and Emtrol Automation Combine to Offer a Wide Range of Automation Solutions

Weldon Solutions, Inc. of York, PA has announced the formation of a subsidiary, Weldon Automation, Inc., doing business as Emtrol Automation. Since 1971, Weldon has served the industrial manufacturing market by providing high performance CNC cylindrical grinding machines and other custom machine tools. Weldon's experience and success with both conventional and robotic automation for machine tool tending laid the groundwork for this venture.

The new subsidiary was developed through the acquisition of assets from Emtrol, Inc., a Lancaster, PA based engineering and Integration Company that provides material handling systems, automatic storage and retrieval systems, robotics, and variable speed drives to a variety of industries. Emtrol is the leading supplier of In-Process Storage and Retrieval Systems to the Baked Foods Industry.

The synergy between the two engineering groups will result in a powerful technical force capable of integrating automated solutions for a wide array of industrial applications. Ongoing technical support and service for existing Emtrol systems will remain an important objective of the new company.
